Stay Hydrated

Drinking enough water this time of year can keep your brain sharp, body balanced, skin soft and mood in good spirits.  Your body is made up of over 70% water, you’ll need to drink water daily to replenish loses from sweat, urine, and breathing.  A good rule of thumb is to drink at least ½ oz. water per pound body weight.  For a 150-pound person that’s 75 oz. or just over 2 liters per day, more if you exercise.  Choose drinks that contain little to no sugar.  Teas, fruit infused waters, sparkling waters are all refreshing.  My personal favorite this time of year is holiday spiced teas.
